This seemed like a fun thing to do, cross the sands and hope that you don't get swept out by the tide... Plus it's raising money for a good cause

As someone who is always looking for a way to push myself out of my comfort zone and try something new, this walk has been on my list for a while. And why not take part in a personal challenge as well as doing something good for charity and the environment as well? The roughly 7.5 mile walk over uneven terrain for 3 to 4 hours. The majority of the walk will be over sand, however at times wading through channels of water, which can be knee or even thigh-high depending on rainfall.
I have been to Morecambe a lot in my younger years, and have known about this walk for years. I thought it'd be nice to finally do it, and raise funds for a charity at the same time.
We're fundraising for Friends of the Lake District because we love the Lakes (and it's soon to be our home!). Help us conserve and enhance this beautiful landscape for generations to come
Raising funds for the incredible and vital work that Friends does in ensuring the Lake District, remains as beautiful and rich in nature, wildlife, awe and tranquillity for future generations to enjoy as I do today.
