Our Benefactors are people who care deeply about the Lake District and want to see it protected so that future generations can also enjoy the majesty, beauty and tranquillity of the lakes and fells.

Benefactors believe in the vital and unique role Friends of the Lake District has to play in protecting these landscapes and they wish to become partners in our work by committing donations of at least £250 every year.

Benefactors help us to:

  • Stand up against inappropriate developments in the National Park
  • Address the challenges that increasing visitor numbers bring
  • Mitigate the effects of climate change in our countryside

As well as contributing to our work, you will receive a personalised welcome letter from our Chief Executive acknowledging your special level of commitment. We will write to you at least once a year with our plans for the coming year.

Your name will appear on our website and in our magazine, Conserving Lakeland, with your permission.

You will also receive the following:
