Volunteer Workparty Dates 2022

View our full schedule of dates for 2022 below. We'll make booking facilities available for our next six scheduled workparty events as we go through the year. More questions? please email Jan Darrall: [email protected]


Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome to come along and join us on our workparties. Please bring warm clothes, waterproofs, gloves, a packed lunch and drinks and sun cream in summer. Please note there are no facilities on our sites, but plentiful trees and walls!

You must book to attend any of our upcoming workparties so that we can manage numbers and keep you up to date with any changes to our schedule. Please select the activity you'd like to attend and complete the booking process on that page. We'll send you more details about the event, detailed meeting locations and guidance on what to bring and what to wear when we receive your completed booking.

  • More Information: You'll find general information about times, equipment and locations on the individual event pages. More detailed information about the event will be available to download on the  confirmation of booking screen displayed once you complete your booking.

    We received the disappointing news that the Secretary of State will not ‘call in’ the proposed zip-wires at Honister and so the Authority’s approval stands. The Secretary of State is no longer required to give reasons for his decision.

    High Borrowdale is situated 8.5 miles north of Kendal. The best way to access it is from the A6, south of Shap. There is open access at all times.
