Words by the Water is one of the country’s most popular festivals of literature and ideas, bringing the best in writing and thinking to Theatre by the Lake for 15 years. Taking place over 10 days in March, the festival offers a varied programme of intelligent events with a warm and lively atmosphere. It’s a place where writers and readers get together to share the pleasure of books and debate ideas.

We've been offered an opportunity to talk at the event and our Chief Executive, Douglas Chalmers will be delivering a 1 hour lecture on the topic of ‘Protecting Cumbria's Landscapes’.

We're delighted that it's attracted so much attention. All of the seats have already sold out. Recent flooding events may have focussed minds on the delicate nature of the landscapes in which we live and work and the need to manage and sustain them.

We have two spare tickets for the talk which we're giving away. Use the email link to send us an email with your name and contact phone number. We'll pick one winner at random on the 1st March who we will contact by email. (Please note that the 2 seats are not next to each other)

Email: [email protected] with 'WBTW Tickets' in the subject line. Remember to include your name and contact phone number so that we can contact you if you win!

Closing date: 5pm Monday 29th February 2016
