Thank you so much to all who joined us at Thirlmere and standing up for the Lake District. It was remarkable to see the passion that this proposal for 8 zip wires across Thirlmere has ignited and an unforgettable experience to stand side-by-side with so many like-minded people who care about the future of the Lake District landscapes.

This application is due to be heard at the Planning Committee on March 7th but rest assured we will be continuing in our efforts to keep this application in the public spotlight, highlighting the strength of feeling against this application and its inappropriateness in this location. You may be interested to know that the Lake District National Park Authority has to date received almost 3500 letters of objection, a petition against the application signed by 13,000 people and just 163 letters in support of the application.

It was a tremendous day and a powerful statement against this development and we want as many people to hear about it as possible.

You'll find more information and updates about this application on our Thirlmere Campaign Pages.
