Thank you to our balsam bashing volunteers! We'd like to say a huge thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who joined us and South Cumbria Rivers Trust to 'pull together' in the totally tropical heat at Rydal on Friday 31 July for a second go at bashing the Himalayan balsam. They have cleared millions of these non-native plants giving other species a chance to thrive and survive.
