Organisers of the 'Save Windermere' campaign are holding a free event on the Glebe in Bowness-on-Windermere on Bank Holiday Monday 29th May. Come along and and add your voice to the very simple message to United Utilities: Stop the sewage! Staff and Trustees from Friends of the Lake District will be attending to show support for this important campaign that has a simple and stark message...


Excessively high nutrient levels are destroying England’s largest lake. We are on a mission to return the lake to its natural state. We demand an end to all treated and untreated sewage discharges into the Windermere catchment.
