Fundraising Officer ~ maternity cover for 9 months (part-time)

Starting salary:  £19,482 Part time, 28 hours per week (£24,353 F.T.E.)

Friends of the Lake District is an independent charity and the only membership organisation dedicated to protecting and enhancing Cumbria's landscapes. We believe that the Lake District offers some of the most spectacular and precious landscapes in England. We take action to protect and conserve the natural beauty of these landscapes for the benefit of visitors, local communities, wildlife and habitats.

We’re looking for a fundraiser to join our fundraising team as part time maternity cover, for 9 months initially with the potential for extension. The post holder will be expected to generate income for the charity from a number of sources including events, appeals, grant funding, corporates and merchandise. We are looking for someone who has proven success in these areas of fundraising or transferable skills. The successful applicant will be a self-starter and have highly developed written communication skills, able to write formal bids, appeals and publications. The post holder should be organised, enthusiastic and a good team worker.

The post is temporary maternity cover and based at our Kendal office at Murley Moss, Oxenholme Road.
