Together with my colleague Dawn, I look after all things communications-related for Friends of the Lake District including press and media work, editing the member magazine Conserving Lakeland, looking after this website and promoting our work on social media.

For the last twenty years I’ve worked in all aspects of communications, mainly within the homelessness, mental health and social justice sector. Between 2016 and 2023 I was part of the editorial team at Big Issue North magazine.

I first visited The Lakes  when I was a student and have loved it ever since. My eldest sister lives in Troutbeck and I feel a strong connection to the magnificent landscape of the area. I'm thrilled to now be a part of the Friends of the Lake District family.

I’ve got a Bulgarian rescue dog called Harley, and included in my long list of interests are walking in the hills, drinking real ale and watching all kinds of movies from the latest blockbusters to obscure independent cinema.
