  1. Get involved

Get Involved

There will be plenty of opportunities to get involved with the Scheme in all sorts of different ways.  These will include:

  • Volunteering – either with the Westmorland Dales team or one of our partner organisations
  • Events – organised as part of our activity programme or by partners within the Westmorland Dales
  • Projects – drawing on your knowledge, expertise, stories and ideas

Details of all these opportunities are currently being developed and will be posted on the website once confirmed. So keep an eye on the website and, if you haven’t done so already, sign up to our newsletter. And if you’ve got any queries do contact Nicola Estill our community engagement officer.

Sign Up to our mailing list to receive our latest news, events and volunteering opportunities.

We received the disappointing news that the Secretary of State will not ‘call in’ the proposed zip-wires at Honister and so the Authority’s approval stands. The Secretary of State is no longer required to give reasons for his decision.
