We're putting on a summer series of Guided Walks: ‘Blue Spaces and Green Places’, throughout July and August.

Ruth Kirk, our Landscape Engagement Officer:

“There is a wealth of evidence proving that spending time in nature and by water has immense benefits for our wellbeing – both mental and physical.

“The Covid-19 pandemic has shown us all just how much we value getting out into nature for recreation and respite but not everyone has the confidence or knowledge to explore the uplands of the Lake District on their own.

“So we are inviting people to come with us and walk through the spectacular landscapes of the Lake District, soak their senses in the woodlands, on the mountains, by the lakes and tarns this summer. We’ve got a variety of grades, terrains and locations to learn about and explore.”

The walks cost £3 to members and £5 per person for non-members. Dogs (on leads) with well-behaved owners are welcome. Booking is essential and can be done online via this link>
