The hedgehog population in Great Britain has fallen from around 30million in the 1950s to an estimated less than a million now. These adorable animals, apart from being cute, are an important part of our ecosystem. Support Cumbria’s ‘Tiggy-Winkles’. Our dedicated volunteers create and maintain hedgerows, a vital source of food and habitat for many animals including hedgehogs. They also provide safe places for hedgehogs to hibernate and raise their hoglets (baby hedgehogs). Your gift goes towards the management of land in the Lake District and Cumbria to create diverse, healthy and sustainable landscapes for all.
