Dry stone walls are an important part of Cumbria’s cultural and rural heritage. These traditional boundaries are one of the things many people love about the Lake District and require a great deal of skill to create. One metre of wall requires just over a tonne of stone and could last for over 100 years. Your gift goes towards the management of land in the Lake District and Cumbria to create diverse, healthy and sustainable landscapes for all.
