Photo Competition winners capture the magic of the Lake District in new charity Calendar and Cards
Friends of the Lake District is delighted to launch its new range of Christmas cards and 2027 calendars, featuring stunning images captured by the winners of its annual photography competition.
The collection showcases some of Cumbria’s most iconic landscapes, highlighting the exceptional talent of local photographers while celebrating the natural beauty of the region.
The centrepiece of the range is a 2027 calendar, featuring breathtaking scenes from across the Lake District and Cumbria. Selected from entries to this year’s photography competition, the calendar includes spectacular views of Buttermere, Rydal Cave, the Kentmere Horseshoe, Langdale Pikes, the Solway Coast and many more stunning Cumbrian locations.
The accompanying Christmas card collection also features winning photographs from the competition, offering supporters the chance to share the beauty of Cumbria with family and friends during the festive season.
Rachel Dorrington, fundraising officer said: The photography competition attracted over 800 entries, with winning images carefully selected for their creativity, composition and ability to capture the spirit of Cumbria.
Available now, the Christmas cards and calendar make ideal seasonal gifts for anyone who loves the Lake District and the beautiful landscapes that make Cumbria such a special place.”
