Save the date! Friday 27 November 2026. 7pm – 9pm.
What’s at stake in the election of a Mayor for Cumbria next May? Our annual Kirby Lecture 2026 will attempt to provide information on the scope and powers of the mayor. It will also give a platform to landscape, social and environmental groups to talk about what they want to see from the whoever is elected into the role in 2027. There will be a panel discussion and an opportunity to ask questions. Be sure to join us for what will be a fascinating and informative evening.
Read our blog One year to go: a Blueprint for Cumbria’s first Mayor.
Booking for this event will open mid-September. Keep an eye on our Postcard from the Lakes!
