Save the Date. We are working in partnership with local organisations to host our next annual Fell Care Day in the Howgills, based out of Sedbergh.
Fell Care Days are mass-volunteer conservation and learning events, bringing together local communities to reconnect with the landscape by raising awareness of the immense value of uplands in providing diverse and unique habitats; food and fuel; clean water; flood control; jobs; locking up carbon in peat soils; opportunities for recreation and improving health and well-being.
Location: Meet at Sedbergh People’s Hall. Parking in the main carparks nearby.
Thursday 12th November. 9am to 3.30pm.
The days are filled with a sense of shared purpose, fun, camaraderie and most importantly, lots of cake to help fuel everyone through their tasks! You will be able to sign up to a task from a variety of options, all within the vicinity of Sedbergh, including tree planting, hedge planting, taster hedge laying, footpath work, litter picking and dry stone walling.
