Part-time (21 hours per week) based at our Kendal Office at Murley Moss, Oxenholme Road.

Starting Salary: £14, 830 per annum pro rata (£24,718 F.T.E.)

We are an independent charity and the only membership organisation dedicated to protecting and enhancing the spectacular and precious landscapes of the Lake District and Cumbria. We take action to ensure that the natural beauty of these landscapes will continue to benefit visitors, local communities, wildlife and habitats well into the future.

The Landscape Engagement Officer will be responsible for developing and running a series of engagement events which will increase the understanding of, respect for, and enjoyment of the landscape. We are looking for someone with the knowledge, energy and enthusiasm to achieve this with an increasingly diverse range of people.

To be successful in this role you will need experience in arranging a variety of events, be able to organise work and time to deliver to deadlines, and have a proven record in team and partnership working. Experience of databases, data protection and excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

You must demonstrate a passion for the Lake District and Cumbrian Landscapes and an understanding of the work and aims of the charity in advocating for and protecting these landscapes. A willingness and ability to work flexible hours is required, including occasional evenings and weekends.
