Ongoing challenges of commonal farming

With no bespoke agri-environment funding for commons, these ancient spaces face serious threats.  So much so that the film maker Sarah Beddington, normally reporting on war zones, created a film exploring the challenges faced by upland hill farmers on commons. Her 20-minute powerful film “Common Ground” is heartbreaking and inspiring in equal measure.  Definitely worth a watch – click here.
