Alan, Helen, Sue and I are making a crossing by foot of Morecambe Bay at the end of April to raise money for Friends of the Lake District.

We, along with millions of other visitors every year, love walking, cycling and (sometimes) running in the incredible landscapes of Lake District National Park. Friends of the Lake District are an incredible organisation who protect and enhance these precious, yet fragile Cumbrian landscapes.

Over the last year alone Cumbria has suffered huge storms which have caused large scale damage, taken down hundreds of ancient trees and destroyed habitats for many animals. Please help us repair this damage, protect these world class landscapes and ensure they can be enjoyed by future generations. Bryan Semple
