The Plan also includes a plan and actions for farming-led nature recovery. The Plan builds on the need to transfer benefits that land managers receive to manage land towards a wide range of public goods that support the landscape of the Lake District and the World Heritage Site. This section of the Plan strikes a careful balance between nature and culture, recognising that nature recovery is reliant on those that manage the land to work in partnership with a range of organisations, businesses, communities and crucially, each other.  This will be achieved through a Local Nature Recovery Strategy that will link in to the wider nature recovery ambitions of the Government’s 25 Year Environment Plan.
