Bill Bryson, author of well known books such as Notes From A Small Island, and the President of CPRE between 2007-2012 has signed up to our campaign against taking pylons through 24km of the west of the Lake District.

Bill said: "This is one of the finest landscapes on the planet.  It should be cherished and nurtured, not used as a convenient shortcut for business interests."
