Friends of the Lake District Summer Series of Guided Walks:
Blue Spaces and Green Places

Description: A walk through the beautiful Rusland Valley starting at an historic church. We climb a small hill and then the view opens out to show the valley stretched out in front of us. The walk descends through fields and minor roads to reach Rusland Moss Nature Reserve followed by Hay Bridge Nature Reserve. These Sites of Special Scientific Interest have a variety of wildlife to look out for. Passing two tarns we cross fields to return via a semi-ancient woodland.
