Geology and fossils

Delve into what is beneath us with the geology of limestone areas at Little Asby Common. Learn about the fossils and previous live when the area was sea!

  • Time:  10am – 1pm
  • Grade:  Moderate.  We may be walking up steep slopes.
  • Location: Mazonwath and Little Asby Common
  • Leaders:  Jan Darrall - Policy Officer and Land Manager. Sylvia Woodhead

You do not have to be a current Friends of the Lake District member or volunteer to attend, but we do ask that if you are trained, that you commit to helping survey our properties over the next few years using your new knowledge and skills.  Training places will be limited in number.  You'll need to reserve your places by clicking on BOOK below.
