In this edition:

This week the Westmorland Dales team have been exploring Great Asby with guided walks revealing its geology and rich history on a weekend bathed in sunshine. We're delighted to see a transport scheme tackling congestion by offering a free shuttle bus service from car parks at Cockermouth to beautiful Buttermere valley. For the third year running our volunteers have been out tackling himalayan balsam around Rydal Water at our Big Balsam Bash, showing just what a difference a team effort can make.

New wildlife friendly lights are showing the way for future installations and demonstrating the difference that small changes can make for residents and wildlife. And there's a week left to have your say about the Windermere Gateway Development plans.
