Friends of the Lake District welcomes the Government’s independent review of England’s National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The review is led by Julian Glover supported by an experienced advisory group. A summary of our submission to the Review is detailed below together with a link to our response (pdf).
The Landscape Review contains all of the questions you’d expect about governance and funding, access and wildlife, and living and working there, but excitingly we have all been invited to submit a recent photograph that shows what is special to each of us about the Lake District. The picture can be of anything we want – a fell, a lake, a farm, a complete landscape, a person or an occasion – whatever makes a memory, whatever pleasure we want to share. We're inviting you to share your images with us here at Friends of the Lake District too. And feel free to add a few words about what the image means to you :)
Post an image on Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #mylakedistrict to add it to our picture wall. Alternatively, you can email an image to [email protected] and we'll add it for you. Don't forget to add it to your survey response too!
