MONDAY 29TH JULY 11.00am to 3.30pm

Tourists and locals will have the opportunity to find out more about hill farming in the Lake District when the Farmer Network's “Fell Gather” road-show comes to Crow Park at Keswick on Monday 29th July from 11.00am to 3.30pm.

The road-show involves a display of local sheep breeds, demonstrations of shearing and commentary about hill farming in the Lake District.

“Fell Gather” commentator and hill farmer, Will Rawling, said:

“This is a great opportunity for local people and visitors to Keswick to see our Cumbrian sheep breeds, meet hill farmers and find out more about what makes the Lake District a special place.”

There is no charge but donations are requested in aid of the Prince’s Countryside Fund with the event being part of their National Countryside Week.  The campaign aims to raise awareness and celebrate the values of the countryside  and the people who live and work there.
