The Westmorland Dales Landscape Partnership Scheme aims to unlock and reveal the hidden heritage of the Westmorland Dales, enabling more people to connect with, enjoy and benefit from this inspirational landscape. Thanks to National Lottery players it has been supported by a grant from the Heritage Fund.
After two months or so of lockdown, and the gradual easing of restrictions, we’re all in need of a boost. So we are actively looking at ways in which we can get all our projects and activities up and running again.

Rich Archaeological Heritage: Four projects will focus on engaging people in a major archaeology survey, community excavations within a village, a project associated with Gamelands Stone Circle and another focussed on scheduled monuments at risk; Pendragon Castle
The natural heritage projects focus on three key areas:
