In order to be eligible for a grant, your organisation must have a bank account and formal terms of reference, and your project must:

• Be located within or demonstrate clear links to the Westmorland Dales scheme area
• Help reveal, conserve or sustain the area’s heritage
• Enable people to connect with and enjoy its heritage and landscape
• Be accessible to the public
• Demonstrate at least 25% match funding – cash and/or volunteer time
• Show a clear long-term legacy in how it will be maintained and continue to be of benefit
• Have consent of the landowner and relevant permissions if needed, e.g. planning.
• Acknowledge the support of the Westmorland Dales Landscape Partnership Scheme and the funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund in all promotion and publicity
