Thirlmere has taken a bit of a bruising this year, both from the threat of major development which would have substantially altered its tranquil character, to the toppling of many trees from storms over on the western shore which is still restricting access. So we want people to join us to give a bit of time and care back to this special place.

It’s a great opportunity for those who love the Lake District to put something back into looking after, and learning about it, while having a day of physical fun and camaraderie fuelled by cake! Join us on Sunday 23rd September.
