At our annual Kirby Lecture, Rob and Harriet Fraser will share their insights into their work on the Long View project, what this time with the trees and surrounding Cumbrian landscape has revealed as well as their thoughts and images from complementary projects with Friends of the Lake District.  The trees lead us into an exploration of landscape and land use, ecology, local culture and the role of trees in a healthy biodiverse world. Rob's stunning photography and Harriet's evocative prose combine in this unique lecture for Friends of the Lake District. As Patrons, their work intertwines with the work of Friends of the Lake District and their complementary projects with us will also be covered during the evening. The experience is guaranteed to leave you inspired and thankful, as they are, for all the landscape offers us.

More information about Rob and Harriet’s work can be found on their website www.somewhere-nowhere.com and you can meet the seven trees at https://thelongview.today/
