Friends of the Lake District will be hosting daytime stargazing events for the whole family. Astronomers from Kielder Observatory will take visitors on a wander through the galaxy all within their state-of-the-art indoor planetarium. Or drop by and learn about our solar system by their handling collection of space rocks.

The planetarium will be at the Rheged Centre, Penrith, on Sunday 23 February, from 10am – 3.30pm.

Tickets are £5 adult; £2.50 child, (children to be accompanied by an adult)

Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes.

Numbers limited to 20 within the planetarium.

This is event is part of Cumbria Dark Skies Festival.

This event is recommended for over 5s who must be accompanied by and adult.
