NOW FULL Open Day and Annual General Meeting

Saturday 30 June 2018

Grasmere Village Hall

All members and non-member visitors welcome. Free event.

Join us for this year's Open Day and AGM in Grasmere at the heart of the Lake District. Hear from our staff about their work over the last year and what we have achieved together for Lake District and Cumbrian landscapes.

Lord Clark of Windermere will be our guest speaker; giving an insight into the road to World Heritage Site inscription and what this now means for the Lake District. Our Chief Executive, Douglas Chalmers, will be hosting a Q & A session as well as taking a group to Thirlmere to discuss the zip wire campaign. Other activities include a trip to the new woodland at Gillside with Jan Darrall and Ruth Kirk, a poetry walk with Harriet Fraser and a discussion about development issues in the village hall with our trustees and planning consultant, Nigel McGurk. There will be an after-event ramble led by Ruth.

All events are free and lunch is provided.
