Join us on this unique 8 mile sponsored walk across the tidal sands and mudflats of Morecambe Bay to raise money to protect the stunning Lake District landscape.

Last year we raised just over £10,000, which was fantastic, and this year we’re hoping to do even better and raise £12,000. This will go towards our vital work looking after native woodlands and hay meadows; running campaigns to protect the Lake District from inappropriate developments and helping people volunteer, learn skills and engage with this spectacular landscape.

The Morecambe Bay Walk takes you across the largest expanse of tidal mudflats and sand in the United Kingdom. This landscape is constantly moving and shifting so you will be led by Cedric Robinson, the Queen’s Official Guide to the sands, who has been leading these walks across the bay for over 50 years.

This popular event will take place on Sunday 22nd July 2018 starting at 1:30pm, from Arnside Promenade. The walk will end at Kent’s Bank, near Grange-over-Sands at approximately 5:30pm. We will announce more details nearer the time. To book your place click here
