The Secret Windermere project explored and celebrated tranquillity in the busy Windermere catchment area. Between 2011 and 2013, the project had two elements:

• working with local schools around Windermere to identify what tranquillity is and where it can be found
• running public events for locals and visitors to highlight and introduce people to opportunities for tranquil discovery around Windermere.

Our Secret Windermere project was part of the Windermere Reflections programme; a 3 year Heritage Lottery Funded Landscape Partnership Programme of 19 projects which ran from 2011 to 2014.
