Wednesday 15th May 2024: Hows Wood, Woodland and Walling Work

Join our workparty for woodland work at Hows Wood, Eskdale.

• Location: Hows Wood, Eskdale
• Time: 10am – 3pm
• Activities: Tree work, path clearance, branch lopping, dry stone walling, etc
• Activity suitability: 16+
• Moderate. We will be working on slopes and there is a short walk to the property.
• Please wear: Outdoor working clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty/muddy. Waterproofs and heavy boots or wellies. 
• Please bring: Gloves. Packed lunch, drinks. Loppers, bow saw if you have them.
• Refreshment facilities: The famous array of Friends of the Lake District work party cakes will be available
• Toilet & hand washing facilities: There are no man-made toilet or handwashing facilities on site but plentiful artfully placed trees should you experience the call of nature. We will supply antibacterial hand gel.
